Robison (1990) described a possible candidate for the oldest known uniramous arthropod, Cambropodus gracilis, from the Middle Cambrian of Utah. Robison described this specimen as having a myriapod-like body (similar to that of modern centipedes and millipedes). This species is represented by a single specimens, shown below.
